한국 가족 문화와 다른 점을 이야기하는 외국인도 있고

"(이집트에서는) 아직도 부모가 자녀의 결정적인 일을 대신 할 수 있고 그것도 자녀들이 자연스럽게 받아들이는 게 현실입니다."
한국의 가족문화와 비슷하거나 약간 다른 점이 있다는 외국인도 있습니다.

"한국과 비슷하다고 생각하시면 돼요. 저희도 가족을 중요하게 생각하지만, 살짝 멀리있다는 점..."

"우리나라도 한국과 다른 게 없지만, 아직도 부모님을 모시고 사는 문화이기도 해서..."
나라별로 조금씩 다르지만 '가족'이라는 이름 아래 함께 살아가는 따뜻한 공감을 느끼게 했는데요.
이번 축제에는 자원봉사자 80명이 참여해 체험 안내와 외국인 통역 등 원활한 진행을 도왔습니다.

"여기까지 외국인 분들이 와주는구나 싶어서 도와드리며 저도 뿌듯했던 경험이었습니다."

"가족들이 이렇게 함께 다양한 활동에 참여할 수 있어서 좋았어요."
이틀 동안 이어진 가족축제에는 모두 2천 명이 참여하는 성황을 이뤘는데요.

"한국의 가족 문화를 그 자체로 아름답게 부각해서 세계에 알리고 우리나라만이 아니라 세계적으로 아름다운 가족의 문화가 확산되기를 바라는 마음으로..."
이번 축제는 가족 공동체가 우리 삶의 중심에 있다는 걸 모두가 깨닫게 했습니다.

"가족을 이루고 살아가는 방식은 시대에 따라 달라졌지만, 함께 살아가려는 마음만큼은 예나 지금이나 다르지 않은데요. 이번 축제는 저출생 시대 속에 가족의 가치가 얼마나 소중한지 다시 한번 일깨운 뜻깊은 자리가 됐습니다.
